Setting up the rooms in your house according to Feng Shui decorating is very important. The energy of your home influences you greatly since it's where you spend much of your time. The first Feng Shui decorating tip deals with the color of the rooms in your home. There are some colors that work well in all parts of your home, some that shouldn't be used at all, and many that work well in certain parts of your home. Two colors that you can use anywhere in your home, called "safe" colors, so all the rooms can have continuity, are beige and white. These are your most desirable choices since they are the two safe Feng Shui decorating colors which have other good Feng Shui qualities as well.

The next most important Feng Shui decorating tip deals with your bedroom. This Feng Shui Bedroom no-no is having your bed in the coffin position (feet directly facing the doorway). If your bed is in this position, a good Feng Shui decorating technique is to put some kind of screen/shield between the bottom of your bed and the doorway. If you don't have enough room for a solid screen, buy some kind of colorful hangable screen to hang from the ceiling.

Also, while doing Feng Shui decorating, be aware of the types of images you surround yourself with. If you are looking to get into a relationship, do not surround yourself with paintings with lots of images of solitary figures. Homes with abstract art, without images that reflect goals and aspirations, do not influence reaching goals.
