Your online resource for creating your very own Feng Shui bedroom.

Arranging a Feng Shui bedroom is probably the most important of the rooms in your entire house. It's where you spend most of the night and part of the day. If the arrangement of your bedroom is not in the style of Feng Shui then don't worry, here's what you can do to create your Feng Shui bedroom. Also, to find out more about making a Feng Shui bedroom, please check out our resource links below.

One of the most important tips for creating a Feng Shui bedroom deals with bed position. Which direction is your bed head against as you lie in bed? Have your head be against your best direction or your second best direction (find your best/worst directions). Make sure your have something solid behind your head as you lie in bed. If your head is under a window when you sleep, keep the curtain or blind closed, to form a solid background support.

Another Feng Shui bedroom no-no is having your bed in the coffin position (feet directly facing the doorway). If it is, put some kind of screen/shield between the bottom of your bed and the doorway. If you don't have enough room for a solid screen, buy some kind of colorful hangable screen to hang from the ceiling to create a light screen.

To create a better Feng Shui bedroom, you don't want to be able to look into a mirror while you lie in bed. It is the Feng Shui equivalent to always having another person in the room at night who never sleeps, which is very unsettling. The Feng Shui bedroom solution: Cover the mirror up at night or move it somewhere else. Modern home design often means that mirror wardrobe doors are placed at the end or on one side of a bed. For an easy solution put up some plastic covered spring wire across the front of the robe, make a curtain to cover the doors and thread this onto the wire. When you need to access the wardrobe, simply pull the curtain back, but know that you will sleep soundly at night when the curtain is drawn across the mirrors in your Feng Shui bedroom.
